There is no issue on planet Earth that is more acute than out of control human population growth.
It took about 400,000 years, since the very first humans walked the Earth, for the population to get to 3.6 billion. That happened around 1970, about 45 years ago. Since then the human population has doubled, exploded to 7.3 billion humans, each of which needs, wants, and arguably has an equal right to shelter from the elements, and enough food and clean water to survive. The dilemma is our Earth, the only home we have, has only so much to give, and human demand is rapidly depleting the planet’s critical resources to the point of exhaustion.
