Sheila Kelly is an American actress/dancer. She is also the force behind The S Factor, a business she launched aimed at helping women get past the cultural obstructions that prevent the celebration of the sexual/sensual side of femininity. In this TED presentation called, Let’s Get Naked, Shiela Kelly talks about her own evolution as a sexual being, and the healthy release of the yin inside every woman. For my part, I find it hard to understand why any man would not want to encourage Sheila Kelly’s exhilarating, sexually empowered brand of feminism. What Ms. Kelley is encouraging is exactly what nature intended. A clitoris is something every woman has, but no man has. It is the only human body part, whose only purpose is pleasure. If women were not supposed to celebrate and find joy in their sexuality, why would nature have blessed females with such a powerful means of expression? Building a future that is life-affirming and sustainable requires a level playing field for women. That must include the right to celebrate and express their sexuality as they choose, without being subjected to mindless cultural shaming. I admire Sheila Kelley for helping women to be in touch with and find joy in their very natural sexuality.
“Every woman has an innate erotic essence that must be nourished, honored and expressed so that she may be truly free in her magical feminine body.” – Sheila Kelley
