According to research recently released by the Pew Survey, 84% of the world’s human population is living on less than $20/day, a level that is right at the poverty line in the U.S. That’s 17 out of every 20 people, about 6.2 billion people, on the planet barely surviving. Of that number, 56% are living on $2-$10 a day.
Building a sustainable future requires all hands on deck, working together. That’s a very difficult proposition when nearly all the world’s people are preoccupied just finding clean water and enough to eat.
